Presentation: Getting a Graduate Scholarship in Education to Boston University

On May 21-24, 2015, Dorothy Stephens (the founder of KESSA), along with two of her family members, and Hardin Coleman (dean of Boston University’s School of Education), visited Indonesia to promote and fundraise for The Kelly Elizabeth Stephens Memorial Scholarship.

As part of the visit, KESSA Alumni organized a sharing session to present information about The Kelly Elizabeth Stephens Memorial Scholarship dedicated for Indonesians who want to pursue graduate studies in education at Boston University. Dorothy Stephens and the alumni also joined the event and shared about the scholarship. The alumni also conducted several mini workshops: a) Writing an Essay for the Scholarships, b) Teaching Gen Y, c) Teaching Math is Fun, d) Lesson Plans for All Curriculum. Prior to the event, Dorothy and team managed to have an audience with Culture and Elementary and Secondary Education Minister Anies Baswedan.
