International Educational Development

Agung is currently the Head of the Center for Research and Community Services at Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Nusa Nua Bali  (Bali Tourism Institute), a government owned college of hospitality and tourism. His main responsibility includes managing the center,

selecting and administering the research and community services proposals submitted by the faculty members to be financed by the institute. In addition, besides teaching English, he also conduct research himself in the area of his interests: community based tourism development and tourism education and training.

According to Agung, the International Education Development Program that he took at Boston University has equipped him with strong foundation in the understanding of education as an important component for development of a person, community, and a country. In this sense, it has enables him to contribute to the development of education in his institution and community.  More importantly to him is that to instill in his students and other people around him the passion for learning.
